Announcing Representation of Mel Arsenault
Galerie Nicolas Robert is delighted to announce the representation of Canadian artist Mel Arsenault.
Arsenault's work explores the intelligence of matter and its enchanting power, creating talismanic hybrids that celebrate the convergence of corporealities. Her practice focuses on the chromatic and textural development of glass skins, closely relating to the pictorial traditions of painting and drawing.
Arsenault holds a Master's degree in Sculpture and Ceramics from Concordia University, where she also earned a Bachelor's degree in Painting and Drawing. She has participated in several group exhibitions and fairs in Canada, England, and the United States, including Art Toronto, Nuit Blanche, and Untitled, Art Miami Beach. Recent solo exhibitions include "Shifting Histories" at La Guilde (2020) and "Le jardin des astrocytes" at Galerie Nicolas Robert (2021). Arsenault has also participated in a residency at the Guldagergaard International Ceramic Research Centre in Denmark and was awarded the Outstanding Work and Meaningful Contribution to Ceramics award from Concordia University.
We look forward to presenting Mel Arsenault's work in upcoming exhibitions at the gallery. For a comprehensive view of her artistic practice and to explore available works, please visit her profile.
