Frédéric Tiffet
Entrées
From November 1 to December 22
Galerie Nicolas Robert is pleased to present Entrées, an exhibition bringing together the most recent body of paintings by Frédéric Tiffet. Through these works, matter slowly advances — and slowly, one must enter it. Nothing is stable: the image flips, breathes, trembles above the void. In a perpetual tension between chaos and order, the hand moves forward, erases, and begins again a hundred times. Each gesture may destroy, yet little by little, blocks take shape and perspectives open, inviting the eye to enter and, from a bird’s-eye view, travel across the landscapes. Leaving one canvas to infiltrate another, it clings to traces, to the lines that trap it, to the folds that make it swerve, to the sun buried within.
Frédéric Tiffet lives and works in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montréal. He holds a BFA in Painting and Drawing with a minor in Philosophy from Concordia University. His work is part of private collections and was recently featured in a solo exhibition, Everything is Never Finished (2023), at KIPNZ Gallery in New York and Faux-fuyant (2025) at Galerie Nicolas Robert.
